Position Description:
We are looking to add a manager to our Dublin-based Fund Development and Governance & Investment Management Oversight team. The candidate will support fund launches, liquidations, mergers, and other key events for our Irish domiciled fund ranges. Working within the EMEA Funds Business Group, the Fund Development and Governance team collaborates closely with Product Management, Account Management, Legal, and Operations teams, playing a vital role in managing product and regulatory initiatives. Additionally, the candidate will be part of the Investment Oversight team supporting the Designated Person (‘DP’).
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Support the Fund Development process, partnering with PIMCO’s product strategy group and other key internal partners.
2. Assist the Investment Management DP with daily oversight tasks and interactions with Portfolio Managers and Product teams.
3. Manage new projects and initiatives to support the broader funds group at PIMCO.
4. Ensure proper implementation of new business or regulatory initiatives, review policy frameworks, and oversee governance processes.
5. Lead project management workflows, from initial queries on fund structures and internal processes to coordination and governance of implementation.
6. Develop and maintain controls and procedures for fund and share class launches, modifications, terminations, and transitions.
7. Ensure seamless integration of new products into existing fund administration workflows.
8. Manage the production of regulatory documents such as UCITS KIIDs, PRIIPs KIDs, EMT, EPT, and EET.
9. Perform oversight activities related to PIMCO’s regulatory duties and obligations.
10. Enhance processes and controls using macros, AI, and other techniques.
Position Requirements:
1. Primary degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative/analytical field from a leading university or business school.
2. Understanding of funds, securities, and derivatives is preferred.
3. Strong project management skills.
4. Ability to learn and apply new skills, communicate effectively across all management levels, and demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects.
6. Focus on risk and control.
7. Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
8. Exceptional attention to detail.
9. Strong commitment to PIMCO’s culture, values, and approach.
10. Knowledge of Python, Visual Basic, SQL, and AI prompt engineering is a plus.
