An exciting opportunity has arisen for an AI Factory Senior Manager to lead a newly established centre of excellence dedicated to driving the delivery of AI and advanced analytics solutions. This is a pivotal leadership role within the organisation's Data & AI function, reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in turning identified business use cases into real-world, scalable AI solutions — helping the business harness the power of data and automation to transform operations, improve decision-making, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the AI Factory, overseeing the design and delivery of AI and advanced analytics initiatives.
2. Work closely with senior business stakeholders to identify, prioritise, and shape high-value use cases.
3. Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AI initiatives — from ideation and proof of concept through to production, embedding, and continuous improvement.
4. Translate complex AI concepts into tangible business outcomes and commercial value.
5. Build and develop a high-performing cross-functional team, including analytics professionals and a Scrum Master.
6. Promote agile ways of working, innovation, and responsible AI practices across the business.
7. Represent the AI Factory in senior forums and influence key stakeholders on the strategic potential of AI.
About You
8. 7+ years' experience in AI, data science, or advanced analytics, with a strong record of delivering impactful AI-driven projects.
9. Proven ability to take ideas from concept to production, embedding AI or automation into business processes.
10. Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and working within an agile delivery model.
11. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
12. Commercial mindset — able to identify, quantify, and communicate the business value of AI solutions.
13. Technical expertise across R, Python, SAS, and Azure (legacy environment in R, with a focus on transition to Azure and Python).
14. Background in financial services, insurance, or another complex, data-rich environment advantageous.
