We are currently seeking a skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to oversee the delivery of our clients' projects in Tralee, County Kerry. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the design, procurement, and installation of mechanical systems in a pharma plant, ensuring they meet GMP standards.
Responsibilities
* Plan, budget, and schedule selected projects from conception to completion.
* Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure all projects meet client specifications.
* Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, identify issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Manage project finances, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Evaluate and implement best practices to enhance overall project efficiency.
Requirements
* A strong mechanical background with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience as a Project/Contracts Manager in the construction industry with a mechanical project engineer background.
* Experience working with MEP engineering contractors or Main Contractors on Life Science, Semi-Conductor, or Data Centre projects is required.
* Knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, and Process systems, including their design, installation, and operation.
* Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to travel within Europe occasionally.
