Position Summary
The key SME for the Alexion artwork management system, responsible for day-to-day management, metric reporting, and user training.
Maintains approved packaging artworks and designs (outer cartons, labels, leaflets) and oversees implementation of changes, including obtaining final approvals from Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance. Ensures all printed packaging changes are tracked and deadlines are met.
Responsible for maintaining finished product and material specifications. Acts as the Global Supply Chain Artwork representative for new product launches. Builds strong relationships with contract packaging firms and internal partners to ensure product launches and changes are implemented on time and comply with filed dossiers. Supports artwork-related projects to enhance productivity and service in the Global Supply Chain. Manages artwork process relationships with global, regional, and local regulatory functions. Serves as SME for Alexion’s printed packaging security features. Identifies continuous improvement opportunities using structured problem-solving methodologies.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
* Maintain approved packaging artworks and designs, owning change implementation and final approvals.
* Monitor all printed packaging changes, ensuring deadlines are met, and maintain product and material specifications.
* Represent the Global Supply Chain Artwork team for new product launches.
* Foster relationships with contract packaging firms and internal teams to ensure timely implementation and compliance.
* Support artwork-related projects to improve productivity and service.
* Manage artwork process relationships with regulatory functions globally, regionally, and locally.
* Serve as SME for printed packaging security features.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through structured problem solving.
Essential Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in artwork management processes and systems development and improvement.
* Solid understanding of pharmaceutical artwork processes and systems, with experience in a pharmaceutical packaging environment; experience with medical device packaging is a plus.
* Proven success in managing pharmaceutical artwork in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Strong knowledge of current pharmaceutical packaging regulations and applications.
* Experience managing artwork across multiple regions.
* Understanding of cGMPs.
* Excellent computer skills, with experience in Artwork Management Systems; SAP experience is highly desirable.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills for global interaction at various organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
* Relevant third-level supply chain qualification.
* Experience with GLAMs and Gazelle software.
