Skillsource is partnering with a leading organisation in the medical technology sector to appoint a Project Engineer on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This role supports the introduction and scale-up of new products within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Office space is available on site in Enniscorthy.

About the Role Working as part of the engineering function, you will support all activities associated with bringing a new product into manufacturing.
This includes equipment installation, calibration, validation, and process troubleshooting.
You will also contribute to the development, optimisation, and continuous improvement of processes to ensure product quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
You will collaborate closely with R D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, taking responsibility for the technical execution of engineering projects from initial planning through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end engineering projects, ensuring technical quality, timely delivery, and adherence to budget.
Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, including equipment installation, calibration, validation, and manufacturing ramp-up.
Develop and optimise manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost performance.
Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project execution.
Identify and resolve technical and process issues using structured problem-solving and data-driven methods.
Prepare and manage project documentation including reports, schedules, risk assessments, and design reviews.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.
Monitor project progress using established KPIs, and proactively manage risks or changes.
Promote continuous improvement, introducing best practices and innovative engineering approaches.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers as needed.
About You Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
3–5 years' experience in a project engineering or similar technical role, ideally within a manufacturing or technology-driven environment.
Demonstrated experience managing and delivering complex engineering projects.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
Comfortable working both independently and within cross-functional teams.
Experience with CAD packages (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is highly desirable.
PMP or similar certification is an advantage.
