Role Description
This is an internship role for a UI/UX Design Intern. The selected candidate will assist in creating user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing designs for web and mobile applications. The UI/UX Design Intern will work under the guidance of senior designers and collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces and user experiences.
Key responsibilities include assisting in the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs, conducting user research, and helping to conduct usability tests. The UI/UX Design Intern will also contribute to the development of design systems and assist in refining designs based on user feedback and testing. Additionally, the role involves learning about the design process, gaining hands-on experience with design tools, and helping to ensure that design solutions meet both user needs and business goals.
The UI/UX Design Intern must be passionate about design, eager to learn, and capable of working in a collaborative environment while contributing to a variety of design tasks.
Qualifications
Basic Design Skills: Familiarity with design principles and a strong interest in UI/UX design, with an understanding of how design impacts user experience.
Design Tools Proficiency: Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or other UI/UX design software. Knowledge of prototyping and wireframing tools is a plus.
User-Centered Design: Understanding of user-centered design principles and a passion for creating designs that meet the needs of users.
Creative Thinking: Ability to think creatively and develop innovative design concepts that improve the overall user experience.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in ensuring designs are pixel-perfect and meet the project's visual and functional requirements.
Basic Understanding of Web & Mobile Design: Familiarity with responsive design principles, mobile-first design, and accessibility standards is an advantage.
Research Skills: Interest in conducting user research, such as interviews or surveys, to understand user needs and preferences.
Collaboration Skills: Ability to work in a team environment, communicate ideas clearly, and accept constructive feedback to improve designs.
Learning Attitude: Strong eagerness to learn, develop new design skills, and grow in the UI/UX design field.
* Relevant Academic Qualifications: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Product Design, or a related field. A portfolio of design work (even if it includes academic projects) is preferred.
