On site, we operate three accommodation buildings, offering both self-catering stays and fully inclusive packages that combine food, activities, and accommodation. THE ROLE We are seeking a Sales & Bookings Manager to lead our busy bookings office. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring a smooth, friendly, and efficient experience from enquiry through to arrival. This is a varied and fast-paced role, perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment. You will oversee daily bookings operations, manage a small team within the office, guide and support staff, and work closely with other departments to deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate is highly organised, personable, and confident in managing competing priorities. Strong time management, punctuality, and reliability are essential, along with the ability to motivate others and maintain high standards under pressure. RESPONSIBILITIES Booking management Monitor and manage all bookings via phone, email, and online booking system. Handle all bookings and enquiries professionally, sending booking confirmation details to customers. Answer calls, address queries, and pass information to the relevant department. Manage and update online bookings using the Booking Layer system, keeping capacity and availability accurate. Process deposits, payments, and invoices. Answer customer queries and resolve any issues with bookings quickly and professionally. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth communication and up-to-date schedules. Sales Promote and sell our activities and packages, highlighting their unique features. Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings by engaging with customers and offering tailored recommendations. Build and maintain relationships with customers to encourage repeat business. Follow up with potential customers to secure bookings and answer questions. Suggest additional services and packages to enhance the guest experience. Team Leadership Supervise and support 12 bookings office team members. Provide guidance, training, and feedback to maintain high performance and standards. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure smooth daily operations. Key Skills and Experience We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-driven, and motivated to grow sales.. The right person will enjoy building relationships with our customers and partners, keeping bookings running smoothly, and ensuring every guest has a great experience. The ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience: Strong customer service focus friendly, professional, and confident dealing with guests and partners. Excellent communication skills fluent English with great written, verbal, and telephone etiquette. Highly organised and systems-orientated Exceptional attention to detail able to manage multiple bookings accurately and efficiently. Sales-minded motivated to convert enquiries, grow revenue, and spot opportunities. Reliable and punctual Works well in a team, but can also take initiative and work independently Comfortable working in a busy, high-pressure environment and staying calm under pressure. Proficient with Microsoft Office, email, and booking systems (or quick to learn new systems). Minimum 2 years experience in a busy office environment (to be discussed at interview).
