We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team in CHO 8 Meath CDNT 4 Dunshaughlin / East Meath based in DUNSHAUGHLIN.
Contract Type: This is a Permanent Full Time Contract.
Contract Hours: 1.0 WTE 35 hours per week.
Salary Scale: €57,771 to €68,385 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments).
Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum, and proportionately less for less than 12 months' service.
Overview of the Post:
To work as a senior member of the inter-disciplinary team providing services to children and families within the region. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of an occupational therapy service, including assessment diagnostics, intervention, clinical and performance supervision, and ongoing service delivery to children with a range of disabilities aged 0 – 18 years, including physical, sensory, learning disabilities, developmental delay, and autism.

The successful candidate will have:
Essential Criteria:
* Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU (https://www.coru.ie/).
* Have three years of full-time (or an aggregate of three years) post-qualification clinical experience.
* Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
* Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
* Maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register upon appointment.
* Confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.
* Be eligible to work in the State.
* Possess a valid driving license and access to own transport to deliver services across a large geographical area.
Desirable Criteria:
* Relevant postgraduate training specific to 0 – 18 years, such as Sensory Integration, Bobath, NDT, Feeding, Postural Management, etc.
* Training and experience in assessing and intervening with children with autism.
* Experience supervising basic grade occupational therapists and/or students.
* Minimum of 2 years working in paediatric services with children with disabilities and/or complex needs.
* At least 1 year post-qualification experience working with children with disabilities/developmental delay and their families.
* Experience conducting Assessment of Need.
* Experience working with children aged 0 – 18 years and their families.
* Experience prescribing and monitoring equipment based on children’s needs.
