We are seeking an experienced Social Care Manager to join us in our new mainstream residential centre. You will work with us to provide a therapeutic model of care to the young people in our centre.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a brand new service focused on providing care to young people aged 13 – 17.Key Responsibilities· Create a safe and secure environment for the young people in our care.· Ensure care and placement plans are in place for each young person and being followed by the team.· Liaise with the young people, their families, centre staff and external professionals as required.· Promote the rights of each young person and be attentive to their primary care needs.· Ensure the centre is clean and well maintained, all vehicles are fully serviced and any hazards are identified and removed.· Assist with the recruitment and training of all staff.· Ensure all paperwork is completed and stored correctly.· Oversee the budget for your centre to ensure it is being used effectively.· Ensure all policies are being followed and help to develop new policies and procedures as required.· Ensure adherence to all ACIM's and HIQA standards.· Adhere to and follow relevant legislation, Childcare Act 1991, Children's Act 2001, Health and Safety Act 2005.· Governance and oversight to ensure centre is fully compliant.· Provide supervision to team as required.Requirements· Recognised qualification in Social Care or equivalent.· Minimum of 5 years experience within childrens residential services with at least 2 of those years in a senior role.· Be eligible to register with CORU· Training in child protection, trauma-informed care, or therapeutic interventions.· Experience using care planning and risk assessment tools.· Full clean Irish driving licenceJob Type: Full-timePay: €55,000.00-€59,000.00 per yearBenefits:On-site parkingLicence/Certification:Irish Driving Licence (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
