Reporting directly to the Group Head of Transport, and Transport Management Team, the role is responsible for the daily operations to run efficiently, and to support both Day and Night Transport Managers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Day to Day operation control
* Ensuring timely despatch of vehicles
* Support Transport Operation Managers with job confirmation
* Support Transport Operations Managers with recording and reporting problem jobs to the Customer Service team
* Contacting Skip & Bag Customers re collection issues / requests
* Distribution of driver and helper rosters'
* Vehicle Defect Recording
* Driver and Helper PPE management
* Driver Engagement
* Health and Safety Requirements
* Issue escalation
* Management cover for Skip & Bag and Clinical
As Operations Control Manager, you will work closely with the Transport Management team, to ensure the operations runs smoothly through the day, ensuring any issues are escalated in a timely fashion to the Transport Operation Managers.
Daily distribution of rosters with the information and support of the Transport Operation Managers and recording of defects.
Supporting the Transport Operation Managers with Job confirmation for previous day and night shift, to allow for metric recording, and ultimately the invoice run.
You will support the Customer Services team with the recording and distribution of Problem Jobs, ensuring correct rejection codes have been recorded to allow for remedy with the customer in agreed service level timelines.
Driver engagement will be critical to ensure teams feel they are engaged with, listened to in order to provide exceptional customer service.
You will mentor the Driver Step Up colleague, in order to progress them with their learning journey, as you progress your own.
