Our Service Desk will log any breakdowns, arrange for an engineer to attend your site and keep you fully informed of the progress of the call from start to completion.The RoleWe are looking for an experienced and dynamic Commercial Director to lead and manage our Laundry sales team across multiple key channels, including hospitality, facility management companies, healthcare, and construction. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with the ability to transform our commercial function, drive sustainable growth, and inspire and lead a high-performing, results-oriented sales team. This is a senior leadership role, and the Commercial Director will play a critical part in shaping and executing the company's long-term commercial strategy. This individual will also foster a positive, high-energy culture and ensure that the sales function is consistently achieving targets while aligning with the company's broader vision and goals.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Team Management:Lead, motivate, and manage a team of field-based sales representatives, ensuring they meet and exceed targets in the hospitality, facility management, healthcare, and construction sectors.Provide ongoing coaching and professional development to sales reps, ensuring they have the tools, skills, and support to succeed.Cultivate a high-performance, results-driven culture, focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Strategic Direction & Transformation:Collaborate closely with the executive team to transform the commercial function and ensure alignment with broader company goals.Drive the development and execution of the company's sales strategy, with a focus on sustainable growth and market penetration in the key channels of hospitality, healthcare, facility management, and construction.Lead by example in driving a customer-centric, growth-oriented mindset across the sales function.Business Development & Growth:Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand market share in existing and new verticals.Actively participate in the sales process, especially with high-value clients and strategic opportunities.Ensure the sales team remains ahead of market trends, continuously seeking innovative solutions and opportunities to maintain a competitive edge.Sales Performance & Accountability:Set clear performance expectations, targets, and KPIs for the team, ensuring there is a strong focus on results and meeting or exceeding revenue goals.Regularly track and assess the sales team's performance, providing actionable feedback, recognition, and support to ensure continuous improvement.Address performance challenges effectively, ensuring that any obstacles to success are overcome in a timely manner.Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:Work closely with the leadership team to ensure alignment of sales and marketing strategies, operational goals, and overall company objectives.Foster strong relationships with key internal stakeholders such as marketing, operations, finance, and project teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and products to clients.Drive collaboration across all departments to maintain customer satisfaction, improve product offerings, and enhance overall service delivery.Customer Relationship Management:Develop and market insights, ensuring these are communicated back to the relevant teams to enhance product development and service offerings.Lead key negotiations with clients, ensuring profitable and sustainable agreements are secured.Culture & Change Management:Inspire and lead the commercial team through periods of change, ensuring that transformation efforts are embraced across the sales function.Develop and sustain a positive, inclusive, and motivating team culture, ensuring that all team members feel supported, valued, and engaged in achieving the company's goals.Promote a culture of accountability, agility, and innovation, leading by example with a can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset.Data-Driven Decision Making:Use CRM tools and sales analytics to make informed decisions, track performance, and optimise sales strategies.Regularly review sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to ensure the company remains competitive and responsive to changing market demands.Report regularly to senior management on sales performance, key opportunities, and challenges.Budgeting & Financial Oversight:Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to maximise return on investment.Monitor the financial performance of the sales team and ensure that budget targets are met or exceeded.Assess and refine pricing strategies, discount structures, and other financial parameters to ensure competitiveness and profitability.Requirements:At least 10 years of progressive experience in commercial and sales leadership roles, with a proven track record in managing field sales teams and driving growth in the hospitality, healthcare, facility management, and/or construction sectors.Demonstrated success in transforming and scaling a commercial function within a similar industry.Proven leadership ability with a strong focus on achieving sales targets, building high-performing teams, and fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and critical thinking skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with internal teams and external clients.Proficient in CRM systems and sales management software, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.High level of personal integrity, with the ability to
