Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
We are seeking highly professional and experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to work in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities.
This opportunity offers above-average wages with travel compensation and accommodation, allowing for a consistent schedule and predictable shifts.
The positions available include early morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts, with the ability to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital as needed.
Responsibilities
* To provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care, within the scope of practice of an RPN.
* To utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
* To ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered, as well as safe transfers and discharges.
* To maintain the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, adhering to protocols on all assigned shifts.
* To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements
* Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
* Able to work with persons who have infectious diseases.
* BLS Certificate.
* Valid First Aid & CPR.
* Proof of current immunizations for MMRV and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
* Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
* Must be able to work flexible shift times, eight or twelve hours in length, depending on the facility.
* Must be reliable and compliant with RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
