The Opportunity
An established and growing
electrical wholesale business
is looking to recruit an
Internal Sales / Trade Counter Executive
for its Louth branch. This is a key, customer-facing role combining
account management, trade counter support and proactive sales activity
, ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term customer relationships while still driving commercial growth.
You will manage a portfolio of approximately
250 active accounts
, spending around
70% of your time developing and servicing existing customers
, with the remaining
30% focused on identifying new business opportunities
, reactivating dormant accounts and increasing share of wallet.
This is a
Monday-Friday role
with no weekend working, offering strong earning potential, stability and long-term progression.
The Role
* Manage and develop a portfolio of circa
250 customer accounts
* Handle inbound and outbound sales enquiries via phone, email and trade counter
* Provide product advice, quotations, order processing and aftersales support
* Proactively grow existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling and pricing strategies
* Identify and develop
new business opportunities
, including lapsed and new customers
* Work closely with external sales and branch management to maximise branch performance
* Build strong relationships with electricians, contractors and commercial customers
* Maintain accurate records and pipeline activity on internal systems

The Ideal Candidate
This role would suit someone with experience in
internal sales, trade counter or customer service within a wholesale or technical environment
.
You may have:
* Internal sales or trade counter experience within
electrical wholesale
(highly desirable)
* OR internal sales experience from another wholesale/technical sector
* Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
* A commercial mindset with the confidence to upsell and develop accounts
* Good product awareness or the ability to learn technical ranges quickly
* Strong organisation and communication skills
Salary & Benefits
* €40,000 - €45,000 basic
for experienced internal sales professionals
* €45,000 - €55,000 basic
for candidates with
electrical wholesale internal sales experience
* €10,000 - €20,000 commission
