Convoy Technologies, a top supplier of cameras, displays and sensor systems, is committed to the safety of those who work in and around commercial vehicles. We are bringing our light assembly operation to Windsor, Ontario and are currently seeking a *Manufacturing Engineer* to lead the manufacturing of products and promote a culture that truly values its employees.The *Manufacturing Engineer* provides technical manufacturing support in the development of manufacturing methods and use of equipment to ensure safe operations, maximize efficiency and productivity while ensuring product quality.*Responsibilities** Oversee manufacturing process from plant launch to well-established operations while ensuring quality, safety and efficiency* Design and maintain operational processes and procedures including value stream mapping, DFM, PFMEA?s, and standard operating procedures* Manage new product launches, leading procurement and installation of automation and other equipment* Develop and maintain machinery specifications for operations* Ensure daily production targets against engineering standards, quality, delivery, and customer requirements are achieved* Identify and resolve production concerns related to process defects, equipment failures, downtime, scrap and other related production delays* Analyze production metrics to achieve and improve performance targets* Drive continuous improvements, ensuring efficient working methods are employed through the implementation of Lean Manufacturing Tools including 5S, value stream mapping, kaizen, and best practice benchmarking* Promote proactive problem-solving activities within the production team* Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate and communicate production issues and risks* Support resolution of customer concerns, product returns and issues; implement corrective action to prevent recurrence* Manage product changes*Requirements** Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Electrical)* 5 years of experience in a low volume, high mix, product assembly environment* Experience in PCB assembly processes; experience with ESD and/or clean room environments an asset* Experience with process development, capital equipment procurement and product launch* Knowledge of Project Management principles, methods and techniques* Strong working knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, ISO 9001, Continuous Improvement, standard work, and value stream mapping* Exceptional problem-solving skills, technical and business aptitude with a solid financial background* Exceptional interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills* Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office including Excel, and CAD* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with limited supervision* Detail oriented* Chinese language skills an asset* Some travel requiredConvoy Technologies offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
