Bray Automation Engineer II
The Manufacturing Engineer II / Automation Engineer monitors the quality and efficiency performance of assigned customer and value streams and supports continuous improvement through process development, root cause analysis, and systematic problem solving.
Responsibilities
Lead or support design, installation, validation and buy-off of automated production lines.
Drive process characterisation and optimisation (DFMEA, PFMEA, DOE).
Lead systematic technical root-cause investigations.
Support production line ramp-up to achieve mature production targets.
Improve manufacturing metrics including OEE, scrap, cost, productivity and utilisation.
Support Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Coach technical and maintenance teams in problem solving methodologies.
Manage assigned project budgets and liaise with vendors and customers.
Travel for equipment buy-offs and vendor/customer training as required.
Ensure full compliance with Quality Management System and safety programmes.
Requirements
Level 8 qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
2–5 years’ experience in a high-volume automated manufacturing environment; medical device experience advantageous.
Strong project management, troubleshooting, and leadership skills.
Lean Six Sigma experience advantageous.
Proficient in MS Office and MS Project; CAD experience desirable.
