If you're passionate about your trade and ready to be part of a company that is raising the standards, we want to hear from you.Role Overview:The Junior Health & Safety Officer will play a key role in promoting Safety, Health & Welfare throughout the ASMS organisation. This role involves managing and implementing Health & Safety Policies and Procedures om a company and project and site level. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of a company Safety Statement and liaise with the ASMS Management Team and employees to develop site-specific documentation ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation.Key ResponsibilitiesCulturePromote Safety, Health, and Welfare across the organisation and foster a positive H&S culture where employees feel supported in raising safety concerns.Provide H&S support to employees, suppliers, and customers on any ASMS-engaged site.Assist management and site supervisors in adopting a proactive, systematic approach to health and safety.Advise management on legislative obligations and ASMS safety standards.Ensure proactive consultation between ASMS, employees, customers, and suppliers.ComplianceImplement and maintain a Health & Safety Management System (ISO in line with current legislation across ASMS project sites.Conduct H&S inductions and training for employees.Carry out general and site-specific risk assessments, identify hazards, and recommend risk-reduction measures.Coordinate and issue personal protective equipment (PPE) to employees.Investigate accidents and incidents thoroughly, implement corrective actions, and maintain detailed logs.Maintain supplier and subcontractor compliance documentation.Manage customer H&S portals and ensure accurate records.Complete internal audits and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.Review and update the Safety Statement and associated documentation annually.TrainingCoordinate H&S training sessions for employees, maintain training records, and update the H&S Training Matrix.CommunicationOrganise H&S management meetings.Deliver toolbox talks, safety presentations, and accident prevention sessions.Develop and distribute monthly safety bulletins.Position RequirementsDegree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent qualification.Minimum 3 years' experience in an operational, contracting, or construction-related H&S role.Excellent communication and organisational skills.Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.Full clean Irish driving licence.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with AutoCAD or CMMS software is an advantage.Job Type: Full-timePay: €35,000.00-€45,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company eventsOn-site parkingWork Location: In person
