Job Title: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Major Emergency Planning
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to join our team in Major Emergency Planning. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the hospital's preparedness and effective response to major incidents, mass casualty events, and internal incidents.
The job involves coordinating the development, implementation, and evaluation of the hospital's Major Emergency Plan and Internal Incident Plan, aligned with national guidelines, hospital policies, and statutory requirements. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, emergency services, and external agencies to ensure seamless integration of clinical operational and logistical responses during emergency situations.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Developing and implementing the hospital's Major Emergency Plan and Internal Incident Plan.
* Providing strong clinical leadership to all staff involved in an emergency situation.
* Establishing effective working relationships with all departments and staff within the hospital to support their preparedness in an emergency situation.
* Working with the Major emergency and business continuity manager to prioritize initiatives within the service.
* Conducting post-incident reviews and evaluating actions to ensure continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A minimum of 5 years' post-registration experience in the relevant area.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
* A recognized management qualification or desire to undertake one if successful at interview.
* A postgraduate qualification in emergency nursing is desirable.
