We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our critical data and reporting processes.
The successful candidate will take ownership of our Data Catalogue and Data Dictionary, ensuring clarity on what our data means. They will also manage and mentor a team of business analysts while embedding industry-leading data governance standards into everyday practice.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that we understand and trust our processes, data, and systems used in creating our most critical reporting outputs.
The ideal candidate will have experience in discovering and documenting business processes and controls over report creation processes, as well as management of data catalogues and data dictionaries.
They will be part of the Data Management and Governance team, responsible for embedding data quality, management, and privacy standards across our organization.
* Lead the creation/review of detailed technical documents mapping out business processes and data flows relating to regulatory and risk reporting processes
* Identify and document key data management controls across the data lifecycle from system of record through to final consumption in risk reporting processes
* Drive the maintenance of our Data Catalogue and Data Dictionary
* Complete assessments of data platforms and reporting solutions to ensure effective data management controls are in place and operating
* Review and update internal standards and procedures ensuring they are complete, accurate, and aligned to relevant external guidance
* Manage a small team of business analysts ensuring they are appropriately skilled and engaged
Key Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a data/reporting or IT risk/audit management environment
* A proven understanding and experience of business/process analysis, data management controls, or IT controls preferably in the context of Financial Services
* Strong grasp of data management principles, particularly BCBS239
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
* Knowledge of at least one data governance toolset
