Reporting to Financial Controller - Office Based Role ( Kilkenny/Wexford border)
Job Purpose: Preparing accurate financial reports, manage ledger activities, and support the month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and reporting standards, while providing analysis and insight to support business decisions
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts in line with accounting and legal standards, ensuring accuracy and supporting documentation in place.
Manage the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and timely.
Complete month-end and year-end closing processes.
Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
Support statutory audits by preparing audit files and liaising with external auditors.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in preparation of VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax returns.
Monitor and manage fixed asset register.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
Support the Financial Controller with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
Continuously review processes and controls, recommending improvements where necessary.
The Person
Would also suit a newly Qualified Accountant from TOP 4 firm looking to make a move into industry
Qualifications
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).

* Technically competent with the ability to interpret the implications of standards to practical situations.
* Strong internal control & system understanding with a problem-solving mentality.

* Excellent project management skills with commitment to meeting deadlines.
* Ability to manage issues and solutions in a proactive manner.
* Attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
* Advanced Excel skills and general proficiency in IT systems.
* Experience of ERP systems & Business Intelligence tools (Qlikview or others) an advantage.
