Our guests can learn how Guinness is made and how to enjoy it in surprising ways.Guinness Storehouse is seeking a self-motivated beer professional to serve as aGuinness Brewery Ambassador.A Brewery Ambassador who will possess a contagious passion for Diageo beers and captivate beer fans.The right candidate will become a recognized friendly face of the St James's Gate Brewery through various operations, including project work, tasting events, trade visits, maintaining a social media presence and bartender training, both internal & the on trade.The position is a national role, primarily based in Dublin but may also be called on to cover other markets and potentially on occasion, the role may require both national & international travel. A portion of work hours will be spent during evenings and weekends, interacting face to face with trade representatives, general public and the broader beer community.4 Key CompetenciesBeer KnowledgeAmbassadors will have a thorough knowledge of beer, including:Beer styles & history.Brewing ingredients & processes.The storing & serving of beer and related quality troubleshooting.Knowledge & Passion for all things Guinness (& wider Diageo beer portfolio)Ambassadors will gain a full & robust knowledge of:Guinness history & heritage.The ingredients and brewing processes used in every Guinness variant.The key selling story for every Guinness variant & wider Diageo beers.Guinness Quality structure.Public Presentation & Consumer InteractionAmbassadors must have the confidence & charisma to present to & engage with audiences both large & small.They will be master story tellers, able to communicate naturally with everyone from marketeers to managers, beer enthusiasts to bartenders.Be Self-Motivating.Our brewery Ambassadors will be self-motivated and comfortable working both individually and as part of a group.ResponsibilitiesEmbody the spirit of St James's Gate Brewery and share this passion with others.Be present in the operations of the Guinness Storehouse, leading from the front as a senior member and mentor to the wider Storehouse team.Delivering on a regular basis, tours of the Guinness Storehouse and St James Gate brewery to visitors, trade guests and VIP'sHost tastings and trainings to bring the St James's Gate Brewery beer portfolio to life.Regularly spend time engaging guests and make genuine connections.Provide support for PR and media opportunities where required.Develop strong working relationships to become a trusted source for all things St James's Gate among sales and marketing teams, including brand inductions & innovation presentations.Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while on site, owning relationships with senior stakeholders such as corporate relations, H&S and brewery operation managers.Regular reporting to line manager regarding activity and event executionWhen Guinness Brewery Ambassadors are not required for specific beer roles, they will be expected to carry out regular duties as required by the Guinness Storehouse and will be rostered accordingly.Job RequirementsPassion for beer & Irish beer culture.Experience in the beer industry preferableKnowledge of the global beer industry, international trends, and evidence of being externally curiousThe ability to engage & captivate a crowd on any occasion.Beer expertise and in-depth understanding of its various brewing processes.Cicerone Certified Server is a plus, but will be provided in role if not already certifiedAbility to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.Ability to work on own initiative and follow team instructionsTake full responsibility for implementing projects and KPIs.Applicant should be driven, able to multitask, and be competitive.Proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to create & deliver great presentations.If you are passionate about beer, delivering outstanding experiences and developing yourself, we invite you to apply for the role of Guinness Brewery AmbassadorWorker TypeRegularPrimary Location:StorehouseAdditional Locations :Job Posting Start Date
