Galway Bay Hotel – one of Ireland’s leading 4-star properties and a proud Great Place to Work – is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic role and is committed to supporting the smooth financial operations of a busy hotel.
Responsibilities
* Use hotel procurement software to match orders, deliveries, and invoices.
* Investigate and resolve any pricing or quantity discrepancies with suppliers.
* Import invoices from the procurement system into the accounts system.
* Reconcile supplier accounts with statements and resolve any differences.
* Prepare the monthly supplier payment run.
* Assist in preparing analysis of key overhead accounts.
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds a business degree or has previous accounts experience (desirable).
* Demonstrates excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
* Has a high degree of computer literacy.
* Is a team player, capable of meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure.
