Position Overview
As a Chef at Rye River Café, you'll play a key role in our kitchen, bringing creativity, attention to detail, and efficiency to a fast-paced environment. This is a permanent, in-person role based in Kilcock, Co. Kildare.
Key Responsibilities
* Food Preparation: Prepare high-quality dishes from scratch, following standardized recipes and ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
* Cooking: Execute a diverse range of cooking techniques to create an enticing and varied menu.
* Quality Control: Maintain strict standards of food quality, freshness, and hygiene throughout all stages of food preparation and service.
* Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of kitchen supplies, ingredients, and perishables, ensuring efficient usage and minimizing waste.
* Kitchen Operations: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, cleaning, and equipment maintenance, ensuring a smooth workflow and compliance with food safety regulations.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
* Adherence to Policies: Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment at all times.

* Previous experience as a chef in a busy café or restaurant setting is essential.
