An established insurance business is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join its team. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will support the firm's regulatory framework, contribute to the compliance strategy, and help ensure the business meets its obligations under all relevant regulatory regimes. This is a hybrid role based in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform internal audits, gap analyses, and compliance reviews across key business areas
• Oversee monitoring and reporting of compliance breaches, ensuring timely remediation and follow-up
• Review, track, and analyse customer complaint data and prepare clear trend reports for management
• Manage Data Access Requests and support complex data protection matters
• Review and maintain company policies, procedures, and frameworks in line with changing regulatory requirements
• Design and deliver internal compliance and regulatory training
• Act as a key point of contact for insurer and regulatory audits and inspections
• Keep up to date with regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business
• Ensure all compliance plan tasks and reporting obligations are completed within required timelines, including insurer returns, CPD verification, and sanctions checks
• Provide clear and practical compliance guidance across CPC, CICA, DMD, IDD, MCC, GDPR, and related frameworks
Essential Experience
• CIP or Data Protection certification required, with full or near completion of the Professional Diploma in Compliance
• At least 4 years of experience in a compliance, data protection, or audit role within the Irish insurance sector
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for insurance intermediaries and insurers
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, engage with senior stakeholders, and influence best practices across the business
