Overview
An exciting opportunity to join a leading global professional services firm as a Corporate Tax M&A Senior Manager / Director. This role involves providing strategic tax advice and support across all aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and legal document review.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure tax-efficient transaction structures, compliance with relevant tax legislation, and delivery of high-quality advisory services.
Core Responsibilities
M&A Tax Advisory & Execution
1. Lead and manage tax due diligence projects for M&A transactions
2. Provide tax advice on transaction structuring, highlighting risks, opportunities, and tax implications
3. Review legal documentation to ensure tax compliance and optimisation
4. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Financial Due Diligence and other tax teams) for seamless transaction execution
Client & Stakeholder Management
5. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on tax matters
6. Attend client meetings and provide guidance on tax strategy and decision-making
7. Mentor and support junior team members, providing training and professional development
Regulatory & Technical Expertise
8. Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on M&A activities
9. Ensure all tax advice and project deliverables meet professional and regulatory standards
10. Apply deep technical knowledge to manage complex tax projects effectively
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
11. ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification
12. Significant experience in corporate tax, with a focus on M&A transactions
13. Proven track record in managing complex tax projects and transactions
Technical Skills
14. Strong understanding of tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring
15. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
16. Ability to assess and mitigate tax risks while identifying opportunities
