Mechanical Estimator We are recruiting for a Mechanical Estimator to work for a leading mechanical engineering contractor based in Cork.
This role offers an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to play a key part in the successful delivery of mechanical and M&E projects.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness to contribute to winning work and driving project value.

Responsibilities Prepare and compile competitive tenders based on scope of works, drawings and specifications Source, review and organise pre-tender and pre-project information Quantify materials, plant and labour requirements for mechanical projects Prepare detailed cost estimates and supporting cost reports Analyse and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, including inclusions and exclusions Requirements This Mechanical Estimator will require a relevant degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline 2-5+ years experience as a Mechanical Estimator on M&E or mechanical projects Experience working in Ireland or the UK is an advantage Strong communication skills with a proven ability to manage tenders from pricing through to award High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with File Maker Pro is an advantage Strong technical understanding of piping measures, isometrics and P&IDs Benefits Salary: €65,000 - €85,000 DOE Pension Healthcare scheme Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Career progression within a growing and dynamic organisation If you are a Mechanical Estimator who is looking for your next career move, send your CV to Kate OHerlihy or call for a confidential discussion.
