Veterinary Receptionist
Southview Veterinary Hospital, Tipperary
Full-time, Permanent
Salary €14.15 per hour
Start date: February 2026
Be the Friendly Face at the Heart of the Practice
If you enjoy working with people, love animals, and thrive in a busy, welcoming environment, this could be the perfect next step for you. Southview Veterinary Hospital is looking for a confident and organised Veterinary Receptionist to join our close-knit team, playing a vital role in keeping the practice running smoothly and ensuring every client feels supported from the moment they walk through the door.
This is a varied, people-focused role where no two days are the same - ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking, building relationships, and being part of a supportive team.
The Role & Working Pattern
This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week across five days. You'll work one in three Saturdays, with a day off during the week in lieu. There is no out-of-hours work, no Sundays, and no bank holiday shifts, allowing for a healthy and predictable work–life balance.
What the Role Involves
As our Veterinary Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for clients, providing a calm, professional and friendly welcome in a fast-paced mixed animal practice. Your responsibilities will include managing appointments using our booking system, handling incoming calls and queries, processing payments and end-of-day cash procedures, and supporting the smooth daily operation of the practice.
You'll also assist with stock control and deliveries (including light lifting), maintain high standards of cleanliness across front-of-house areas, and support the wider team with general administrative tasks. Building product knowledge will be part of the role, helping you confidently assist clients with queries and recommendations.

About You
