Job PurposeThe Warehouse Operative will be required to work in a fast-paced environment. This will include working within a team ensuring all tasks are completed with accuracy and efficiency. In addition to working within the warehouse the Operative will also be required to communicate with other departments to solve dispatch issues, goods receiving issues or provide updates. This will ensure customer commitments, expectations and targets are achieved.Key Responsibilities:Duties will include but not limited to the following –Picking and packing and re-boxing of goodsGoods in and outAccurately use and read instructions of Warehouse Scanning deviceDeal with quality issues that may arise and follow internal processes and proceduresKeep warehouse area clean and tidy at all times and ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards from aislesAccurately pack and ship our customer orders to ensure we meet customers high expectationsAdhere to safety, quality and production standardsMove inventory and materials across facilitiesProcess inventory for deliveryPackage items and label correctlyReport damaged or missing inventory to managerRemove inventory from trucks or shipping and delivery to proper locationWear safety gear when and where requiredWork as an active team member to complete team targetsBe able to work independentlyBe highly organised and able to store items efficientlyMust follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organisationAdditionalAssisting the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager in any special assignments/projects as requested ensuring confidentiality at all times.Be able to work overtime and weekends when requiredAdministrationHave the ability to carry out basic ad-hoc administration dutiesExperience and SkillsEducation and TrainingForklift licence / training an advantage but not essentialWork ExperienceExperience of working in a busy dynamic warehouse environmentWorking in a teamExperience in using a Stock management systemUnderstanding of stock takes/PI countsGoods in experiencePicking, packing use of labelling systems for despatch (FED-EX, DHL and DPD)Knowledge and SkillsExcellent teamwork skillsExcellent attention to detailExcellent organisation skills with experience of prioritising tasks.Knowledge and understanding of a warehouse environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsStandard level of numeracy / literacyStandard level of IT skills and use of Microsoft suite of packagesJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From €13.50 per hourExpected hours: 34 – 40 per weekWork Location: In person
