Our client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Evening Shift Coordinator to join their Environment Testing lab team! This temporary position offers you the chance to play a pivotal role in laboratory operations while ensuring high standards of compliance and quality. Location: Little Island Fully Onsite role Hours: 12:00pm - 20:00pm Pay Rate: €15.38 per hour (plus 10% shift allowance) Temporary role Position Overview: As the Evening Shift Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of daily laboratory operations, ensuring that samples are processed accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: *Collaborate with the laboratory and sample registration teams to facilitate smooth daily operations. *Ensure all samples are registered, prepared, and subcontracted on time with precise information. *Conduct testing as needed to meet customer and operational demands. *Release technical reports and daily results to customers through LIMS and email. *Manage subcontract workflow, liaising with subcontract labs for timely results. *Address customer queries and complaints, providing outstanding support. *Mentor and train junior staff, contributing to their professional development. *Perform thorough contract reviews and allocate tasks to technicians daily. *Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including incident reports and training sheets. *Adhere to customer instructions and ensure appropriate methodologies are employed. *optimise the use of laboratory resources including equipment, materials, and staff. *Ensure samples are received following documented procedures, focusing on temperature control and contamination prevention. *Assist in daily planning to meet customer deadlines and continuously improve turnaround times (TATs). *Communicate equipment and facility issues promptly to the relevant departments. What We're Looking For: *A degree in Environmental Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field. *Previous experience in an accredited contract testing laboratory is preferred, but we will provide comprehensive training for the right candidate. *A solid understanding of quality systems and accreditation requirements. *Proficiency in LIMS systems and MS Office, particularly Excel.
