Logistics Coordinator
Overview
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Despatch Office and customer collections counter. This is a customer-facing role that plays a key part in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and professional collections process.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with internal sales, warehouse, and logistics teams to coordinate customer order collections, manage site visitors and couriers, and complete associated administrative and transport coordination duties.
This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
5. Take full responsibility for the Despatch Office and customer collections area
6. Deliver a high standard of customer service, ensuring all customers feel welcome, valued, and supported
7. Liaise closely with warehouse teams to ensure customers and visitors are attended to promptly
8. Provide on-site, customer-facing support to the internal sales team
9. Ensure the Despatch Office is manned, organised, and presentable at all times
10. Handle incoming customer phone calls and manage or redirect collection-related queries appropriately
11. Complete all administrative duties related to the collections process, including POD scanning and returns documentation
12. Represent the business in a professional and friendly manner at all times
13. Ensure all couriers and visitors are signed in and out and directed safely around the site
14. Proactively work with warehouse and sales teams to reduce customer and visitor waiting times
15. Respond to customer queries efficiently and effectively
Key Requirements
16. Previous experience in an office-based administrative role
17. Strong customer service skills with a professional and friendly approach
18. Ability to plan and coordinate driver routes
19. Excellent telephone manner
20. Strong multitasking skills and ability to prioritise workload
21. Experience working in a busy, fast-paced environment
22. Experience using ERP systems (Intact experience is desirable)
23. Ability to work to deadlines
24. Flexible, team-oriented approach with a strong work ethic
25. Self-motivated, resilient, and conscientious
