Project Nature (T26) On-going Support of the Computerised Social Security System II (CSSS-II) for the Social Welfare Department
Responsibilities
Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the SWD.
Provide on-going support to the maintenance and enhancements of the CSSS-II which is a mission-critical system.
Perform problem diagnosis and program fixing for various social security schemes including the Traffic Accident Victims Assistance (TAVA) Fund and Criminal and Law Enforcement Injuries Compensation (CLEIC) Scheme.
Perform physical design and specify program components for system enhancements.
Prepare and conduct program testing and system testing.
Provide support to user acceptance testing.
Produce project documents.
Devise operating procedures.
Supervise Analyst Programmers to perform program development and system testing.
Perform on-call support duties.
Requirements
Experience in system development and implementation, preferably in large-scale IT project implementation.
Hands-on experience in J2EE, Java Application Framework, and JavaScript programming language.
Experience in application systems using Web Services.
Experience in Structured Query Language (SQL).
Experience in social security service system is preferred.
Work experience with/in the government is required.
Technical Skills
At least 4 years of experience in J2EE Development (JDE).
At least 3 years of experience in Structured Query Language (SQL).
At least 3 years of experience in Java Application Framework (e.g., Struts (Apache)) (JAF).
At least 3 years of experience in JavaScript Programming (JAP).
At least 2 years of experience in Web Services (WSV).
Non-Technical Skill
At least 2 years of experience working with the Government (GOV).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree / Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
At least 5 years of post-qualification experience, of which at least 1 year is relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
