Senior Electrical QA/QC Supervisor – Data Centres
Location: Ireland / Europe (project-based)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical QA/QC Supervisor to oversee quality assurance and quality control processes on large-scale data centre projects. This role is critical in ensuring that all electrical installations meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and performance across mission-critical environments.
You will work closely with project managers, commissioning teams, and subcontractors to ensure that all electrical systems are delivered in line with design specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all Electrical QA/QC activities on data centre projects from installation through to commissioning
Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC plans, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and quality procedures
Inspect and verify electrical installations including MV/LV systems, switchgear, UPS, generators, cabling, and containment
Ensure all works comply with project specifications, drawings, and relevant standards (IEC, BS, ISO)
Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and technical submittals
Manage inspection processes, snagging, and close-out of non-conformances (NCRs)
Coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure systems are tested and validated to data centre standards
Maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation, reports, and quality records
Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on all quality-related matters
Support handover processes, including O&M documentation and final quality certification
Requirements
Degree or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
7+ years’ experience in Electrical QA/QC roles, ideally within data centres or mission-critical environments
Strong knowledge of electrical systems: MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, transformers, and control systems
Proven experience with QA/QC procedures, ITPs, inspections, and testing protocols
Familiarity with international standards (IEC, BS, ISO) and commissioning processes
Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or large-scale MEP projects
Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Knowledge of commissioning processes and IST (Integrated Systems Testing)
Experience with digital QA/QC systems and documentation tools
Familiarity with BIM-based quality coordination
