The employer is a multinational, US-based, Corporate Services provider to the Aircraft Leasing and ABS sectors This role, heading up the Legal and Compliance team of 4 staff, will have oversight responsibility for the following Company secretarial function AML/KYC processes and activities Internal legal and compliance Transaction execution for new engagements and transactions Specific responsibilities will include: Liaise with team members, counterparties and advisers in respect of new and existing transactions Coordination of all on-boarding and transaction execution processes. Develop, implement, and regularly review processes for tasks within the legal & compliance function, ensuring effective execution for both onboarding and annual review cycles. Act as first point of contact for team members for relevant legal & compliance queries. Act as director on client companies where relevant. Serve as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for internal entities and provide MLRO services to external Schedule 2 companies. Team Lead responsibilities as follows: Review of output from assigned team members, ensuring this is completed to a high standard. Provide annual internal legal & compliance training to staff. Provide guidance to team members in relation to day-to-day client queries and issues. Review of work practices within the team to identify areas where greater efficiencies can be introduced. Escalation of any issues in relation to client and/or team delivery to the Directors. Job Specific Requirements: Professional legal qualification ideally but a Company Secretarial qualification coupled with some legal experience will also be considered Significant experience in corporate services role, particularly aviation experience is an advantage but not necessary.
