Job Title: Electrical Infrastructure Specialist
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical infrastructure within a data center operation. This role is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function, which focuses on providing technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
What You'll Do:
1. Conduct daily site inspections of all mechanical and engineering systems, as well as technical equipment, to identify any potential issues or areas requiring servicing or maintenance.
2. Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment, including temperature, humidity, and lighting controls.
3. React to building management system alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
4. Work with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
5. Alert management if subcontractor performance does not meet requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
6. Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
7. Check the building management system for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
8. Perform building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDUs, and utilities.
9. Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
10. Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures.
11. Follow all safety processes and requirements and ensure all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met.
12. Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.
13. Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities.
What You'll Need:
* Training in a technical discipline, such as electrical engineering or computer science, having served an apprenticeship or equivalent with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
* In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
* Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
* Must be able to meet the physical requirements of this role.
* Ability to effectively present information to internal departments, clients, management, and/or colleagues.
* Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
* Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
* Basic math skills, including ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
