Offer description

21 Months, Fixed Term Whole-Time Post Position Summary The UPWELLING project addresses critical challenges facing the Atlantic blue economy, including the skills gap, limited access to marine infrastructure, and weak collaboration among stakeholders.
To bridge these gaps, UPWELLING establishes a transnational network and the UPWELLING Academy.
This academy will offer specialized training in emerging marine technologies and facilitate prototyping activities, empowering SMEs and startups while nurturing a new generation of skilled professionals.
The UPWELLING Academy LMS will serve as a gateway for participants to engage in thematic Hackathons and access the Proof-of-Concept testing campaign.
The successful candidate will: - undertake testing at LIR-NOTF to the winners of the hackathon for proof-of-concept testing.
- contribute to the development of the stakeholder network in WP1 using our MARINERG-i insights into potential stakeholders, contact lists and social media.
- contribute to the design of the upwelling academy programme - could contribute to delivery and coordination of some of the above-mentioned training and contribute to assessing the hackathons to determine who will progress to proof-of-concept testing.
Achievement of the expected progression within Post Doc and Senior Post Doc is transferable between the Irish HEI's.
This can be reflected in the starting pay of a PD researcher.
Similarly, as the PD scheme is an intergenerational training scheme completion of PD1 or PD 2 levels in one HEI will normally render that researcher ineligible for appointment at a similar level in another Irish HEI Researcher Career Development Framework | Irish Universities Association Project Title: UPWELLING Post Duration: 21 Months, Whole-Time Post Salary: €46,805 - €53,391 p.a.
