I am looking to speak with established Cyber Security Engineers specializing in Identity Security, to join my clients growing security operations function. This is a senior position, and seen as a key hire from the business. The role represents a great opportunity for career growth, development and challenge.
Identity & access management (IAM) ownership – Lead governance and continuous improvement of identity security posture, including privileged access.
Core identity platforms expertise – Hands‑on experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra in enterprise environments.
IGA lifecycle management – Design and implement joiner/mover/leaver processes, access requests, and certifications using platforms like SailPoint.
Privileged Access Management (PAM) – Build and govern privileged access controls and lifecycle processes using tools like CyberArk or BeyondTrust.
Automation & scripting – Use scripting (e.g., PowerShell) to automate identity lifecycle processes and enable scalable, self‑service IAM capabilities.
Secure identity architecture – Define and implement secure‑by‑design patterns (RBAC, least privilege, zero trust, authentication/authorisation models).
Identity security tooling – Experience with modern identity protection and detection tools such as Microsoft Defender for Identity, CrowdStrike Identity, and Silverfort.
Identity posture monitoring & metrics – Build dashboards and reporting to track identity risk, control effectiveness, and governance coverage.
Incident support & threat detection – Act as SME for identity‑related incidents and integrate identity telemetry into SOC monitoring.
Cross‑functional collaboration – Work with cyber, IT, application teams, and third‑party providers to embed identity controls and governance.
Compliance & governance alignment – Ensure identity controls meet regulatory requirements and support audit, documentation, and architecture standards.
Experience & certifications – 10+ years in IT (5+ in IAM), with certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft identity/security credentials, plus strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Must be in Ireland, Must Hold Stamp 4, EU of Irish Passport
