Team/Role Overview
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function within Independent Risk Management oversees the implementation of Citi’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF). It handles enterprise-level risk management programs across the organization, including risk identification, risk appetite and limits, risk frameworks and policy, enterprise risk analytics/stress testing, new activity risk management, strategic risk management, and climate risk pillars. The Head of ERM reports directly to the Citigroup Chief Risk Officer (CRO).
Your Role
As part of the Data Transformation team within ERM, you will establish and communicate the enterprise risk data and technology strategy, oversee technology implementation, and promote data management standards to support ERMF adoption across Citi. The role involves designing data architecture, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness, and strengthening data governance, focusing on regulatory reporting and risk management data flows.
Key Responsibilities
Drive data governance policy alignment and data strategy execution for ERM reports, focusing on BCBS-239 compliance.
Partner with data consumers to define report data requirements, data quality challenges, and success metrics.
Support data flow documentation, data lineage analysis, and process mapping.
Maintain data artifacts such as metadata repositories, data dictionaries, and process maps.
Collaborate with data owners to improve data quality and maintain key artifacts.
Identify data quality issues and develop strategies to address them.
Manage change processes related to data governance and documentation.
Streamline data transformation initiatives and support data capabilities enhancement.
Act as a trusted advisor to regional teams and business units.
Present status updates and solutions to stakeholders and senior management.
Lead meetings to resolve issues, risks, and challenges.
Provide operational support and document business/data requirements using Agile methodologies.
Understand current data processes to develop innovative data flow solutions.
Identify potential barriers and communicate risks and mitigation plans.
Track and report on project milestones and activities.
Support development of communication materials for executive stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
Extensive experience in Banking or Finance, with risk expertise.
Proven ability to lead large-scale, complex data projects and initiatives.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and remotely.
Strong data analysis, governance, and lineage experience.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging at senior levels.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
