Job Summary:
We are currently seeking experienced Coach Drivers to join our professional driving team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience operating full-size coaches (53 seats and above), excellent customer service skills, and a strong understanding of driver hour regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate large coaches on scheduled, contracted, and private hire services
* Provide a courteous and professional service to passengers at all times
* Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
* Complete route sheets, logs, and necessary compliance paperwork accurately
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle
* Adhere to EU and National Regulations regarding driver hours and tachograph rules
* Cooperate with operations staff and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
Essential Requirements:
* Full D licence with current CPC card
* Previous experience operating full-size coaches
* Digital tachograph card
* Good knowledge of Irish road network and transport regulations
* Strong communication skills and a professional appearance
* Flexibility with shift patterns, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
* Ability to complete paperwork and logs with accuracy and reliability
Qualifications:
* Valid Category D (Bus) driving license.
* Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
* Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws in Ireland.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
* Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
* Professional appearance and demeanour.
Desirable Skills:
* First Aid certification.
* Experience in handling large groups or tours.
* Familiarity with GPS and other navigation tools.
