The successful candidate will have:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in nursing older persons
* At least 7 years post-registration experience
* In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and inspection activity related to residential care centres
* A third-level qualification in management
* Ability to manage workload effectively and respond flexibly to new demands
* Commitment to continuous improvement and learning
* Ability to influence others, build relationships, and achieve outcomes

The role involves:
* Acting as Person-in-Charge in the absence of the Director of Nursing, in line with regulations and standards
* Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
* Collaborating with senior management on standards for housekeeping, food safety, maintenance, and administration
* Participating in clinical management, including providing resident care, communication, staff management, performance monitoring, policy development, and training
* Coordinating quality and safety systems, including clinical risk management and resident involvement
