DESIGN ENGINEER (VEHICLES & SYSTEMS) Cytec Consulting supports international clients on projects involving a diverse range of subjects including vehicle design, analysis, multi-body dynamic simulation & development. Headquartered in Dublin, Cytec currently operate a remote operation model (work from home). Cytec have an opportunity for an experienced design engineer, ideally based in Ireland. Working as part of a small design team working on client projects on all aspects of vehicle development, including systems integration, and suspension & driveline design. Platforms may be tracked or wheeled and may be conventional or Hybrid powered. The candidate will be expected to: Carry out design using 3D modelling (SolidWorks & Creo), and Design Analysis using MSc (Apex & Nastran) Produce high-quality, cost-effective design solutions, in a busy, fast paced environment Maintain quality standards for 3D models and manufacturing drawings Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends and new developments in technology across powertrain, driveline and suspension systems Communicate and present ideas clearly, both internally and externally to clients & suppliers Occasional international travel may be required Experience and Qualifications: A degree in Mechanical Engineering It is expected that the successful candidate will have more than 3 years design experience, ideally with a focus on powertrain, driveline, and suspension systems. A keen interest and knowledge of vehicles and vehicle dynamics is required. They will be a highly motivated self-starter, able to operate in a team environment. The candidate should have proven experience with one or more of the major 3D CAD systems and design analysis & simulation experience with Nastran / ANSYS / ADAMS. Practical experience of hybrid powertrain technology would be a distinct advantage. Remuneration will be commensurate with the calibre of the candidate. Benefits: Work From Home
