Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist with investment accounting operation activities — including daily cash-matching and running reports
* Post Investment Accounting journals for the group in the general ledger system and reconcile balances
* Perform monthly investment accounting close cycle activities
* Assist with the preparation of various investment related period end reporting activities for Allied World Group and across various local regions
* Maintain and implement good internal control procedures and ensure a high standard of compliance
* Assist in the preparation of ad hoc reports and projects as required.
Required:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
* Intention to shortly start the qualifying process or early stages of exams for internationally recognised accounting designation (ie ACCA or equivalent)
* Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with highly developed Excel skills is essential
* Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
* Ability to work well in a team
* Strong work ethic, commitment to meet deadlines
* Strong communication abilities
Is an advantage:
* Experience in general accounting and in particular accounting for investments
* A working knowledge of SAP
* A working knowledge PAM for Investments
