Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Production & Technical Graduates across our 3 main Manufacturing facilities of Mitchelstown, Mallow and Mogeely.
The Production & Technical Graduate will work with our production and technical teams on site. The successful Graduates will focus on achieving production and operational targets, to drive the technical optimisation of processes, recipes and equipment.
The Graduate will alternate between the production and technical teams initially to learn about the plant, process and reporting systems. This role also involves support for existing and new product development. The role will form part of the succession planning for production shift managers and technical analysts.
Core responsibilities for this role include:
* Safety – Promote a Zero Harm safety culture within the site, monitor adherence to all Environmental, Health & Safety standards and procedures.
* People – Lead and manage a team of production operators
* Cost – Manage payroll, yield and ingredients usage.
* Customer – Meeting and exceeding customer requirements, Investigating Customer complaints and implementing actions ex audits, PS’s.
* Quality – Producing products right first time, Hygiene, Incident reporting and change control.
* Reliability – Meeting Throughput, efficiency and OEE targets.
* Environment – Ensuring license compliance through COD and Hydraulic loading incident reporting and investigating.
* Process Technical Management – Providing technical support to operations to drive optimisation of production processes, recipes and equipment
* Utilising Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies to ensure process stability, reduce process variation and provide visibility into plant and process performance
* New Product/Process Development – support the transition of new products from Validation to Launch, research and develop new processes, and any transfer of products between sites.
* Focus on cost reduction and efficiency improvement through better utilisation of raw material and reduced non premium product.
Candidates for this position must possess:
* A relevant 3rd level qualification – Science/Food Science or Engineering/Technical
* Be prepared to work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment
* Strong technical ability.
* Strong analytical and excel skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong organisational, planning and time management skills.
* Demonstrate initiative.
* Be self-motivated and prepared to be flexible when the occasion demands.
* Good communicator – verbal & written.
