We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the External Planning team.
The Supply Chain Manager reports to the Senior Manager of Supply Chain.
In this role the Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in the end-to-end supply chain to ensure uninterrupted supply of medicines to patients worldwide.
The AXP Supply Chain Manager drives supply planning and delivery of commercial products manufactured at our Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO) in Europe.
The Supply Chain Manager is the Supply Chain lead and liaises with the other key External Supply functional pillars (Manufacturing, Process Development and External Quality) as part of the CMO work centre teams to ensure timely supply to patients.
This position is expected to deliver supply in the right quantity to the right location at the right time, while optimizing inventory and cost within the contractual terms, eliminating stock-out and scrap exposure while improving the overall supply risk profile.
The ideal candidate should have the necessary supply chain experience coupled with business acumen to continuously advance the systems and processes forward in line with industry and company standards.
The Supply Chain Manager will carry the following activities per established business processes and procedures.
These tasks may vary according to the product portfolio: Production planning: Master data creation (design and set up, change control assessments) Forecasting (interface with planning groups to translate demand into an executable production plan) DS and DP planning and allocation (demand bulk from bulk sites, allocation to production per requirements, manage Weight Allocation Forms with Site) MRP management of supply and demand for DS, DP, and or FDP SAP execution of production orders and material transfer orders Purchase order issuance and approval Invoice review and approval Raw Material Management: Master data creation (design and set up, change control assessments) Order policy determination (order quantities, delivery timing, safety stocks) Forecasting to vendors and internal sites Purchase order management with vendors and internal sites Issue management with vendors and internal sites Invoice review and approval Logistics: Determine schedules with shipping sites, receiving sites, and raw material vendors Support creation of official Shipping Lanes for GMP product shipments Lead shipping readiness meetings as needed with shipping and receiving sites General: Collaborate with cross functional teams to unlock new data elements that support business processes enhancements and strategic decision making Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations or problems using multiple sources of information both qualitative and quantitative.
Review, record and update existing processes and optimize them with focus on using digitalization tools.
Responsible for ensuring that risks are identified, assessed, and corrected.
Ensure activities follow GxP and Amgen procedures and are documented according to requirements including assigned training.

Contribution Acts within the Agile framework and roles as a core team member Uses strong relationships to identify needs, requirements, and opportunities Extends capabilities by working closely with senior staff/experts within and outside the internal organization Requirements Master's in Business, Engineering and/or Supply Chain and 2 years of experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing OR Bachelor's in Business, Engineering and/or Supply Chain and 4 years experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing Preferred Qualifications: Established expertise and knowledge of Pharmaceutical/Biotech Supply Chain and GMP processes Strong data analysis and critical thinking skills with experience in leveraging data from SAP or like systems Determined ability to form relationships, collaborate and influence across a multifunctional matrix organization Ability to effect change and build consensus on definitions with groups of individuals Ability and willingness to understand and represent the total-enterprise perspective Proven ability to lead multiple projects and to be accountable for individual results Organized and achievement oriented to continuously drive performance Experience in SAP and/or RapidResponse ERP environments Digital mindset and interest in growing digital capabilities within our organization Experience in regulated manufacturing or supply chain setting Demonstrated experience in a continuous improvement role utilizing tools, methodologies and change management (i.e.
Lean, Six Sigma) Demonstrated ability to effectively engage diverse, global stakeholder groups and manage projects with multiple, cross-functional deliverables Proven communication and facilitation skills Demonstrated strong analytical skills, business acumen and risk management Package Contract role - Hourly rate €40 - €50 per hour Minimum 12 month contract with the possibility of an extension.
Onsite expectations: The expectation is for the candidate to come onsite 2 days per month.
1 of the days is confirmed to be the 1st Thursday of each month.
Once a quarter we have a hub meeting and now we're looking at getting people onsite another day in the month – the day is TBC
