Key Learning Objectives & Responsibilities
* Learn how to collect, organise, and analyse data related to energy consumption and efficiency.
* Assist with the preparation of technical reports, audit summaries, and sustainability assessments.
* Gain hands-on exposure to energy modelling tools and carbon reporting methods.
* Assist in the collaboration with engineering teams to explore opportunities for energy savings and emissions reduction.
* Learn to monitor project timelines and assist in contributions to quality and compliance processes.
* Assist in basic research on renewable energy technologies, efficiency standards, and regulations.
* Assist in supervised field inspections (if applicable) and interpreting data results.
* Develop experience in presenting findings in accessible formats for both internal and client use.
* Assist with the maintenance of project documentation and data files, learning the importance of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Attend internal training sessions to build knowledge of energy systems, data tools, and sustainability frameworks.
Role Description
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
