About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and commercially aware Procurement Officer to support the procurement function across the business.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build their procurement career, gain exposure to supplier negotiations, and develop strong commercial and analytical skills within a growing organisation.
The Procurement Officer will work closely with senior stakeholders and suppliers to ensure best value, continuity of supply, and effective procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing & Purchase Orders: Raise and manage purchase orders in line with approved pricing, budgets, and operational requirements.
Supplier Support & Coordination: Act as a day-to-day point of contact for suppliers on pricing confirmations, delivery queries, and general supply issues.
Pricing & Cost Support: Assist in reviewing supplier pricing, comparing quotes, and supporting efforts to achieve best price and value for money.
Negotiation Support: Support supplier negotiations through preparation of pricing analysis, comparisons, and commercial information.
Rebate Administration: Track and monitor agreed supplier rebates, maintain rebate schedules, and support reconciliation and reporting of rebate performance.
Supplier Performance Monitoring: Assist in monitoring supplier performance, including pricing accuracy, service levels, and delivery timelines.
Inventory & Supply Coordination: Liaise with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of stock and materials.
Data & Reporting: Prepare procurement reports, including spend analysis, price comparisons, and supplier performance data.
Systems & Records: Maintain accurate procurement data, supplier records, and pricing information within procurement systems.
Process Improvement: Support improvements to procurement processes, controls, and documentation.
Ad Hoc Tasks / Projects
Requirements
2–4 years' experience in a procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role.
Strong interest in pricing, cost control, and supplier management.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
High attention to detail and good analytical skills.
Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Strong Excel and general PC skills.
Third-level qualification in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline
