A global leader in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking an experienced
Project Engineer / Project Manager
to join its Engineering Project Delivery Team. This position will play a key role in the execution of capital and technical projects, ensuring successful delivery in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
The suc cessful candidate will support all phases of project execution — from concept and scope development through commissioning, qualification, validation, and handover to operations. Key Responsibilities
* Lead engineering projects to ensure delivery on time, within scope, budget, and quality standards.
* Develop project scopes, prepare capital approval documentation, and manage project execution.
* Oversee commissioning, qualification, and validation activities in alignment with GMP and EHS standards.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, vendors, and external contractors.
* Manage project documentation, cost estimation, scheduling, and risk management activities.
* Support troubleshooting of technical issues and resolution of engineering deviations.
* Conduct post-project reviews and implement lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
* Provide equipment and process-related training as required.
Candidate Profile
* Degree-qualified in Chemical or Process Engineering.
* Proven experience delivering projects in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or highly regulated manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of GMP, validation, and EHS compliance requirements.
* Skilled in project scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
* Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and leadership capabilities.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
* 5+ years experience as a Project Engineer, delivering projects within an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient environment.
