Senior Site Manager
This is a senior leadership role within tn-ireland, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on our construction sites.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Site Manager to lead our construction teams in delivering high-quality residential projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
* Managing and supervising all on-site activities, including subcontractors and suppliers.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Coordinating with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure smooth project execution.
* Monitoring project progress and preparing regular reports for senior management.
* Resolving any issues or conflicts that arise on-site in a timely and effective manner.
* Conducting regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
* Managing site documentation, including contracts, permits, and safety records.
* Leading and motivating the site team to achieve project goals and maintain high standards of quality construction.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Site Manager will be responsible for:
1. Developing and implementing site plans and strategies to meet project objectives.
2. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
3. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of site activities, including progress reports and issue resolutions.
4. Providing guidance and support to junior site staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
5. Cultivating strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Site Manager, preferably in residential construction.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
* Excellent knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
* Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
* Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
* A valid driving licence and the ability to travel to various sites as required.
