Ballymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort is currently recruiting for an experienced Pastry Chef De Partie to join the team. The hotel is a four-star property set on 130 acres of beautiful parkland, this impressive Victorian House forms the heart of the establishment.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, baking, and decorating pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
This role requires strong organizational skills to ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all pastry products, as well as maintaining cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Able to work efficiently, effectively monitor ingredient stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory efficiently to minimize waste and optimize productivity.
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years experience as a Chef de Partie within a food service environment, ideally in hotels or restaurants.
* Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification.
* Have a passion and genuine interest in food.
* Be a team player.
* Be able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
* Have good knowledge of HACCP procedures and regulations.
* Flexibility in working hours as role includes mornings/evenings & weekends, public holidays.
* Good command of the English language.
