Role and Purpose
The successful candidate will work as part of the NEUROCLIMA team and collaborate with local communities, educators, youth groups and policymakers to promote climate literacy, participatory engagement and creative approaches to climate adaptation.
This is a dynamic role requiring excellent interpersonal skills, strong facilitation and training experience, and good organisational ability. The role will be based in Virginia, Co. Cavan, with outreach work across the northeast
Key Responsibilities
* Work as an integral member of the NEUROCLIMA team and play an active role in the design and delivery of participatory workshops, training sessions and creative community events.
* Facilitate workshops and training using the NEUROCLIMA toolkits: -Participatory Design Toolkit -Creative Writing Toolkit -Cinematography, Animation & Performing Arts Toolkit -AI Tools – Chatbot, Lens, Learn, Play and Dialogue
* Test and pilot AI tools and creative resources with students, educators, community members and policymakers.
* Deliver high-quality, engaging, and inclusive workshops both online and in person.
* Organise and facilitate consultation and co-creation groups to foster dialogue on climate adaptation.
* Manage relationships with key stakeholders including educators, citizens, youth workers, policymakers and the wider community.
* Support local implementation of NEUROCLIMA pilots and contribute insights to European level project activities.
* Participate in continuous professional development and project meetings in Ireland and across Europe. EU travel will be a feature of the work.

Skills and Experience Required:
* A relevant qualification in training, education, community development, climate studies, or a related field.
* At least 2 years of proven experience in delivering workshops, training, or facilitation.
* Experience with participatory and creative methods (e.g. storytelling, arts-based engagement, co-design).
* Knowledge or keen interest in climate action, sustainability or environmental education.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and events.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across diverse groups.
* Self-starter, able to work independently while contributing to a team.
* Commitment to impactful community development and inclusive participation.
Terms of Employment
This is a 1-year fixed term full-time contract (39-hours per week) subject to the satisfactory completion of a probation period. The nature of the work may require working unsocial hours i.e. evenings and weekends plus EU travel. Given the outreach nature of the role, you must have access to own transport.
Salary scale: €33,800 to €39,600 depending on experience and qualifications.
All staff members are required to obtain Garda clearance as a condition of their initial and continued employment.
Leave: The annual leave entitlement is twenty-five (25) days per annum, pro-rata for shorter periods. Entitlement to leave for Public Holidays is in accordance with the terms of the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997. Future in Perspective is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
