Quality Technical Manager Food Processing (Dublin) We are recruiting on behalf of a leading food processing company in the Dublin area, seeking an experienced Quality Technical Manager.
This is a senior-level position responsible for leading the quality department, ensuring full regulatory compliance, and maintaining a high standard of food safety throughout the manufacturing process.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the sites BRC accreditation and driving a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Core Responsibilities QMS Management: Oversee and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
Audit Leadership: Lead and manage all internal and external audits, including BRC Global Standard, customer-specific audits, and regulatory inspections (e.g., FSAI/Dafm).
HACCP & Compliance: Maintain and validate the site HACCP plan, ensuring all critical control points (CCPs) are monitored and compliant with current food legislation.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams, ensuring all staff are trained and capable of meeting technical standards.
Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to the production and NPD departments regarding raw material specifications, allergen management, and shelf-life testing.
Non-Conformance & CAPA: Manage the non-conformance system, conducting deep-dive root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing robust corrective and preventative actions.
Candidate Profile & Compensation Level 8 Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior quality or technical role within a high-speed food processing environment.
Proven expertise in leading BRC audits (ideally to Grade A or AA standard).
Expert-level knowledge of HACCP, food safety regulations, and labelling standards.
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Compensation Salary Range: €60,000 €70,000 per annum (Negotiable based on depth of technical experience).
