About the Contract
The ideal candidate will have a pivotal role in ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled and commercial risks are mitigated. They should possess expertise in managing public works frameworks, water or utilities projects, and be well-versed in contract management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversight of full lifecycle contract administration across assigned projects
* Ensure compliance with contract terms (e.g., NEC, GCCC)
* Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and commercial leads to maintain clear communication and resolve contract-related queries
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders to support subcontractor onboarding, performance tracking, and variations
* Identify and mitigate commercial risks and drive project profitability
* Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and assist with audits and claims
* Contribute to strategic contract planning and process improvements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 5+ years' experience in a Contract Manager or related commercial role
* Background in civil engineering, utilities, or public works (ideally Irish Water or similar frameworks)
* Familiarity with NEC, GCCC, FIDIC, or equivalent contract types
* Strong understanding of commercial risk, claims, variations, and contract compliance
* Excellent organisational, communication, and negotiation skills
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
